Mission

The Department of Geography, in line with the definitions and purposes of the science of geography, aims to train geographers who can use current techniques and methods to examine and reveal the relations between physical and human events and phenomena on earth, the developments and changes caused by these relations, the spatial distribution of physical and human objects, and the main factors causing this distribution, who gain the ability to observe and interpret their environment with a geographical perspective, transform these achievements into academic knowledge in national and international platforms, and can evaluate socio-cultural, economic, political, ethnic and natural problems from a geographical perspective.
